A black powder-coated aluminium roof rafter that puts a gentle arc in your roll-out awning. It helps stop water pooling and fabric flapping, two common causes of awning damage.
The rafter adjusts from 1.5m to 2.43m and gives a 25 to 35mm curve at full extension. Its rounded top face reduces abrasive pressure on the fabric, and mounting brackets are included for a fast install. It suits Carefree, Dometic, A&E and other awnings, but not Fiamma. Also available in white, and you can pack it away in the Secura Bar and Rafter Storage Bag.
Set-up
Fits under the awning in minutes
Slide the length out to suit your awning, from 1.5m up to 2.43m, and fit it between the awning arms with the mounting brackets in the box. The rounded top face sits against the fabric without rubbing it.

Why a curve
Rain runs off instead of pooling
At full extension the rafter lifts the middle of the awning by 25mm to 35mm. That slight arc keeps the fabric tight, so water runs off and the awning flaps less in the wind, two common causes of awning damage.
