200W low-profile solar panel kit for rooftop tents

Build your 200W low-profile solar setup in one order. The panel is included, and our low-profile mounting brackets are optional. This panel takes two pairs (4 brackets), already added above. Remove them if you don't need them.

We designed this panel for rooftop tents. Most 200W panels are long and narrow, so they hang over a tent lid or crowd your roof rack. This one is a squarer 1145 x 870 mm, sized to sit neatly on a rooftop tent, and it's only 17 mm thick.

Lower and cleaner than a standard panel

Most framed solar panels are 25 to 35 mm thick. Ours are 17 mm, with black cells, a black frame and a black backsheet, so the panel sits low and almost disappears on a black roof, rack or tent. Pair it with our low-profile brackets for the lowest-profile fixed panel setup you can get.

Built for the road

• 3.2 mm tempered glass with high light transmission, in an anodised aluminium frame

Mounting: brackets are optional

The panel is pre-drilled for our low-profile mounting brackets. They're in the kit builder above: this 200W panel needs two pairs (4 brackets), so they're already added. Remove them if you don't need brackets. Brackets come in pairs with black pop rivets.

The brackets are laser-cut, folded aluminium in black and pop-rivet straight onto the panel. Fit them one of two ways:

• Flush between roof rails: fit the brackets lip-down, bolt the slotted base to each rail, and the panel sits level between them, like on the rooftop tent in our photos.
• On a roof rack platform: flip the brackets so the slotted base sits flat, then bolt down on a Rhino-Rack, Front Runner or similar platform. The panel sits almost as low as its own 17 mm frame, much lower than with standard Z-brackets.
